The challenge
Finding skilled labor for a job, or finding work as a tradesperson, still mostly happened through word of mouth or informal local networks. There was no platform where a skilled worker could be found by someone searching for that specific service in that specific area.
Our approach
We built the platform around search relevance from day one: a labor profile only creates value if it surfaces for the right client in the right location, so ranking and location-scoping needed to work before anything else about the platform mattered.
The solution
We built a website where skilled tradespeople can register themselves or be registered by a system administrator, with profiles searchable by service type and location. When a client searches for labor for a specific job, matching profiles for that area surface at the top of the results, and the client and tradesperson connect directly through the platform.
